Main tasks

• Review the current Azure DevOps build → release pipelines and align them with the existing AWS infrastructure and automations; identify and define the steps required for secure and reliable operations
• Hypercare support for releases: monitoring, deployment support (CI/CD via pipelines), and hands-on troubleshooting
• Extend Azure DevOps pipelines to pass specific identifiers/metadata to AWS so the application healthcheck endpoint can report the exact version currently running
• Review and improve ECS rollback mechanisms; configure Target Group health check parameters via AWS CLI; investigate and troubleshoot rollback root causes
• Roll out the existing AWS WAF configuration from DEV/TEST to PROD

• Update/modernize environments:
  • Assess and plan rebuilding an obsolete environment from scratch (DEMO), not necessarily relying on the current Terraform scripts
  • Finalize a mostly complete environment (HOTFIX): deploy three applications; propose and implement the best approach using IaC (AWS CloudFormation and/or partial Terraform runs), to be agreed based on technical assessment

Requirements

• Strong AWS hands-on experience, especially with:
  • IAM administration and access management
  • ECS (cluster creation, service configuration, task definitions, integration with Target Groups, Application Load Balancer, and Route 53)
  • ECR (centralized/shared usage, cross-account access patterns)
  • Route 53, ALB, networking, VPC
  • EC2 Target Groups, health checks; automation of start/stop via Lambda scripts
  • RDS
  • AWS CLI proficiency for configuration and troubleshooting (e.g., health checks, rollback support)
  • Writing/maintaining AWS Lambda scripts
• Experience operating across multiple AWS accounts per region/environment, including cross-account communication and shared/centralized services (e.g., ECR)
• Azure DevOps experience focused on integrating pipelines with AWS environments (CI/CD connectivity and operational automation)
• Azure DevOps build and release pipelines

• Microsoft Entra experience (App registrations, Enterprise applications)
• Azure DevOps Boards management
• OpenVPN knowledge and troubleshooting of VPN-only reachable AWS components (e.g., Bastion Host)
• Familiarity with a custom build server setup (hosted on Rackforest), including occasional cache cleanup/maintenance
• Terraform / Terragrunt experience; ability to assess and improve suboptimal existing Terraform structures (or recommend alternative IaC approaches such as CloudFormation)
• AWS S3
• AWS WAF deeper expertise beyond rollout execution
• AWS Cognito
• AWS Bedrock
• Ansible playbook knowledge
